Isaiah 42 (part 2)

Isaiah 42 (part 2)
When we give ourselves wholeheartedly to Jesus, He uses us in ways that we never think possible.

Isaiah 42:5-7 says “This is what God the Lord says – He who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: ‘I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.'”

This is Father, Papa God, talking to you! You have come to Him in your broken, humble, dirty, hungry, sad, depressed, anxious state giving up on all of your ways and falling to the one you think might be able to help you because He is all you have, and He looks at you, smiles, sets you on His perfect, spotless lap, kisses your dirty forehead, and holds you tight. He sets you in HIS righteousness, He takes hold of your hand. He promises to keep you and make you a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles. He is going to use you to open eyes that are blind, physically and spiritually, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness (again I believe both physically and spiritually)! These are pretty amazing things! He is sharing HIS perfect inheritance with you and all you did was set your life at His feet. You didn’t make your life perfect first. You didn’t try to make everything right after you made all of your mistakes. You didn’t try to work for anything. You simply collapsed at His feet and that was all He wanted. Give Him all of your life. Give Him all of yourself. The road ahead will be difficult and stressful and you will wonder so many times why He has you doing these jobs and trying to figure out how to do it all by yourself. But that’s where you can remember that you don’t have to do it yourself. Actually, you are not supposed to do it alone. God commands us not to worry but to lean on Him and His understanding and His ways and He will order your steps and He will protect you and He will work everything together for your good because you love Him and are called according to His purpose. He does these great things for you. He is who He is. That alone is why He is worthy of glory. He is worthy of ALL the glory.

“I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give My glory to another or My praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to You.” (Is. 42:8-9)

Thank You, Papa God, that You are good and that You are for me and never against me. Thank You that You are working everything together for my good. Teach me how to love You more and teach me to lean into You and depend on Your understanding and not my own. Thank You for Your promises. Thank You for raising me up and for making me Your’s. I love You, Papa!
